Facial aesthetics treatments are designed as non-surgical methods of refreshing and replenishing your skin, leaving your with a more youthful appearance. At Trinity Dental in Rothwell, our facial aesthetics team is fully qualified to deliver these treatments in a safe and controlled manner.
As we get older, unwanted lines, wrinkles and folds have a tendency to appear on the facial skin. This can be caused by a combination of factors, including repeated contraction of the tiny facial muscles, and loss of the naturally-occurring hyaluronic acid that gives the skin its naturally plump and youthful appearance.
Many factors in daily life can take their toll on the skin. Dietary factors – including not keeping adequately hydrated by not drinking enough water, or drinking too much alcohol – lifestyle choices such as smoking or spending too much time in the sun without wearing protective lotion, and just the natural ageing process can all leave visible signs on the face.
Dermal fillers are specifically designed to target problem areas where hyaluronic acid has been lost. At our Rothwell clinic the fillers we use are hyaluronic acid gels that are derived from non-animal sources. These fillers work by replacing the lost hyaluronic acid, producing a natural-looking, plumper, more youthful appearance. They can be used on many areas of the face, and this will be discussed at your initial consultation. Fillers are also suitable for lip enhancement, leaving your lips looking fuller and plumper.
Treatment is painless because local anaesthetic is either incorporated into the filler syringe, or is applied to the skin prior to your filler being injected. Unlike treatment with botulinum toxin, which takes a few days to show fully, the results of treatment with dermal fillers are visible immediately.
Depending on a number of factors including the area treated, the injection technique and the skin type, results will last between six and 12 months before a repeat session is required.
Easter is fast approaching and although we all love to indulge in chocolate eggs and themed treats we have to be extra careful when it comes to caring for our teeth.
For all parents preparing the exciting egg hunts and fun activities over the upcoming weekend we have some great tips to keep your mini molars maintaining their healthy smiles!!!
- Buying smaller eggs with a low sugar content or eggs that do not include additional treats.
- Dark chocolate has less sugar and will cause less damage to the teeth.
- Encourage children to eat treats at meal times instead of snacking throughout the day. Sugar attacks the teeth for 30 minutes after the food has been eaten and limiting to meal times reduces how many times the teeth are affected in a day.
- Drink plenty of water – this helps to rinse away any acid formation and bacteria from sugar.
- Make sure your mini molars are brushing morning and night for 2 minutes and leaving at least 30 minutes after eating chocolate this can cause harm to the teeth to brushing immediately after.
- Encourage spitting not rinsing when cleaning the teeth, water can wash away the fluoride in the toothpaste making this less effective.
The team at Trinity Dental wish you a CRACKING Easter and we hope to see you all very soon!

Great looking skin without a complicated routine?
At Trinity Dental we stock the Arbonne men’s range, this skin care range has carefully blended natural ingredients and botanical extracts to condition and moisturise the skin.
After considerable research men’s skin has proven to be thicker and oiler in texture and this needs extra attention when choosing a skin care range. If you find yourself suffering from “razor burns” or “ingrown whiskers” this is the perfect range for you. All the products together are clinically shown to minimize the signs of aging as well as leaving you feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
4 Simple Steps to Sensational Skin:
Exfoliate Wash: Keeps whiskers under control and prepares the skin for a close, non-irritating shave.
Shave Gel: The gel rather than foam prevents dryness and closer, sleek shave. There is an adjustment when you have previously used foam products, however after using the gel we guarantee you will not want to go back!
Facial Moisturizer with SPF 20: This is a great sunscreen for the face. Some men just love wearing it all the time, however if you don’t like the feel of a moisturised face this can be used just as a sunscreen.
Warning…you will maintain an appealing youthful look when you use moisturiser on a regular basis.
Post-Shave Balm: This is the product that will soothe and calm razor burn or an ingrown hair leaving you will noticeable results.
Think about a dental hygienist and the first thing that comes to mind is usually a scale and polish. Whilst this professional tooth clean is an important part of a hygienist’s job, it is not all that they do. In fact, your dental hygienist is vital to keeping your mouth healthy, and can also offer alternatives to traditional teeth whitening treatment to brighten up your smile.
In 2015, the General Dental Council changed the scope of practice for both dental hygienists and dental hygiene therapists, enabling them to provide hygiene treatments without the need for a dentist’s prescription and without the patient having to see a dentist first. This means that at Trinity Dental in Rothwell we are now able to offer walk-in hygiene appointments, the perfect way to boost your smile and leave your teeth feeling amazingly clean before a special occasion.
So, what else does a hygienist do except cleaning your teeth?
A hygienist can also help in the prevention and treatment of gum disease. They can provide dietary advice to patients of all ages, which will be given in an age-appropriate, engaging and easy to understand manner. Many people do not fully understand the impact of a diet that is high in sugar or acidic foods and drinks on the teeth, and your hygienist can help you to see how changes to your diet can improve your oral health.
At our Rothwell hygiene spa, our hygienist offers an alternative to standard teeth whitening treatment to remove everyday stains such as those caused by tea and coffee from the teeth. Known as The Diamond Shine, this cosmetic treatment involves the use of an Airflow microcrystal system to quickly and effectively remove stubborn stains. Luxury polishing treatment is then applied for a true diamond shine – effectively an instant smile makeover.
Start with Trinity Dental’s Hygiene Spa
Looking after our teeth can sometimes be difficult whether it’s grabbing that caramel latte whilst rushing to get the children to school or giving in to those chocolate treats to get you through to lunchtime this can have a huge impact on our teeth.
Trinity Dental’s hygiene treatment programme gives optimum oral health for life and aims to make home care stress free.
Our regular refresh programme is designed for patients who value their oral health, this is recommended every six months and leaves you with fresh breath and a healthy smile to be proud of with noticeable results.
Why not upgrade? The regular refresh and shine programme leaves your teeth feeling completely revitalised. This treatment is advised every 6 months and shows great results if patients are prone to staining or would like to ensure a long lasting shine.
For those of us that enjoy the finer things! the Diamond shine is a purely cosmetic treatment. Using an airflow system, microcrystals work to remove stubborn stains quickly and effectively achieving a whiter glossier smile. This achieves an instant make over and is perfect for a special occasion.
