Your First Visit

Your First Visit

At Trinity Dental, we like to do dentistry a little differently. If your memories of a dental surgery are clinical waiting rooms and a cold environment, we think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Our clinic has been designed to be relaxing and welcoming, with a pleasant waiting area where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and listen to soothing background music while you wait to see your dentist.

There is a special waiting area for children, with toys, books and a clinic iPad to keep them entertained.

When you come for your first visit, you will be introduced to our Treatment Co-ordinator, who can tell you all about the clinic, the team and the various treatments available before you meet your dentist. We'll ask you to complete a medical history form, so we can get to know a bit about you, your wants and needs, and whether there are any underlying medical conditions or medications you may be taking that could affect your treatment. Our Treatment Co-ordinator will also find out what has brought you to the clinic today, whether you just want a check-up or have been thinking about cosmetic dentistry.

Our patients are the most important members of our team, and we believe everybody deserves a healthy, happy smile to be proud of. Don't be afraid to ask questions – we're here to help!

We'll take you to meet your dentist, who will carry out a thorough check-up. This will include:

  • Thoroughly checking your teeth, gums and surrounding structures
  • Assessing your oral hygiene needs
  • Checking any existing restorations
  • Taking x-rays as necessary, to help with diagnosis
  • Checking for oral cancer
  • Assessing your smile
  • Assessing your bite (how your teeth meet) and jaw

Should you require treatment, we will recommend the best options available and help you make an informed choice. We will also present you with a treatment plan, including costs and timescales.
