Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Smooth out wrinkles to give a refreshed, more youthful appearance with anti-wrinkle injections

Smoother. More youthful.

What are anti-wrinkle injections?

As we get older, wrinkles naturally occur because our skin becomes drier, thinner and loses elasticity.

Sometimes wrinkles also occur due to constant muscle movement, for example on our brow when we frown or around our mouth when we smile. Over time, these wrinkles can become permanent.

The good news is that the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines can be reduced using anti-wrinkle injections.

The most popular use of anti-wrinkle injections is to the face, specifically:

  • Wrinkles or crow’s feet around the eyes
  • Wrinkles under the eyes
  • Forehead wrinkles
  • Vertical “11” lines between the eyebrows
  • Lipstick lines – common with smokers above the top lip
  • Marionette lines which are the vertical lines at the corners of the mouth
  • Bunny lines appear on the side of the nose when smiling
  • Lines on the neck
  • Chin dimples

At Trinity Dental in Rothwell, we treat hundreds of patients from Rushton, Rothwell, Kettering, Loddington, Glendon, Thorpe Underwood and throughout Northamptonshire with anti-wrinkle injections to rejuvenate the skin and reduce the presence of fine lines and wrinkles.

How do anti-wrinkle injections work?

Anti-wrinkle injections use botulinum toxins which block the nerve signals that cause the muscles to contract when we frown. The injected muscles are relaxed which creates less movement.

At Trinity Dental in Rothwell, we aim to soften and reduce the signs of ageing, we do not want to give a frozen appearance or give you a look where you are unable to show any facial expressions.

Anti-wrinkle injections are the UK’s most popular cosmetic treatment to reduce wrinkles. The procedure usually takes around 15 to 30 minutes which means it’s very easy to fit into your day. There are very little side effects which means most patients can continue with their day as usual after treatment.

Botulinum toxins, a neurotoxin protein, may help treat symptoms of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. You may benefit most from this treatment if other methods haven’t worked. This treatment may help treat the following TMJ disorder symptoms:

  • jaw tension
  • headaches due to teeth grinding
  • lockjaw in cases of severe stress
